Extremely Low LID Cells
The boron (B) and oxygen (O) pairs within most p-type cells eliminate electrons that were created to generate energy. But inside the LG NeON® 2, there are almost no B-O pairs. This is why LG NeON® 2 has almost no LID*.

Double-sided Cell Structure
LG NeON® 2 cells produce energy from both the front and back. By absorbing light from even the backside, the cells increase efficiency. This makes LG NeON® 2 cells more efficient than conventional cells in the mornings and evenings, when the angle of light is lower.
Less Power Generation Loss
The LG NeON® 2 reduces down performance due to micro-cracks or finger electrode erosion by blocking the electrical path, due to the strategic layout of wires.

Higher Efficiency Installation Savings
Compared to a conventional multi module with 72 cells, LG NeON® 2 achieves higher power output with 60 cells, making it easy to manage space when installing large-scale systems. Also, with lower Voc than a 72-cell module, LG NeON® 2 requires fewer strings, leading to lower costs.
Enhanced Physical Durability
With its newly reinforced frame design, LG NeON® 2 modules are designed to endure a front load up to 6000 Pa, and a rear load up to 5400 Pa. Each module can handle a full ton of snow-load or withstand 208-mile-per-hour winds. In comparison, Hurricane Katrina (2005. Aug) produced a maximum wind speed of 175 mph.

Enhanced Performance Warranty
The LG NeON® 2 is backed by a 25-year product warranty and an enhanced performance warranty. After 25 years, the modules are guaranteed to produce at least 86％ of their original power output.

LG NeON® 2 reduces the space needed for installation due to its high module efficiency. The size and efficiency of the modules lets installers consider objects that cause shaded areas, such as trees or a chimney, resulting in optimal system design.
